The salvage tug fleet is a second-level unit under the Yantai Salvage Bureau of the Ministry of Transport. It was established in 1985. After more than 30 years of forging ahead, It has developed into a large-scale specialized marine tugboat service unit integrating salvage, towage transportation, offshore oil platform service and offshore engineering services.

The fleet now has 769 employees, 22 management personnel and 747 crew members, including 346 crew members, 6 senior captains, 10 senior engineer chiefs and 25 DPOs, which provide a strong guarantee for the high-quality development of the fleet. There are 23 offshore support vessels of various types, including 5 ships with DP dynamic positioning function, 5 ships with more than 10,000 horsepower, 2 special purpose ships, and 1 all-electric propulsion multi-purpose ship.
